CULT GVMS CTC

GVMS (the Goods Vehicle Movements System api) is central to the app with CTC (the api providing National Community Transit System) is NI Protocol Compliant. CULT-GVMS is recognised by HMRC for GVMS and CTC (NCTS 5). Each may be used separately. More api in the near future.
Download now for the first time or update to get the latest features. No charge is made for GVMS declarations or the first 25 CTC Transit departure or arrival declarations.
CULT-GVMS Driver Mode is enabled on the drivers device using the configuration page [Cfg] where options controlling the drivers access to the records relating to the vehicle can be found.
CULT-GVMS starts in Training Mode after installation. This allows a new user to explore using dummy declarations made from records held internally for the HMRC recognition process. While configured like this no transmission of declarations is possible. Submission of 'real' declarations to HMRC via the api is enabled after installation in [Cfg]. To start press [Test] and select the declaration type you are interested in exploring.

Arrival and Departure records are downloaded in this demonstration. All messages are downloaded at the default rate of three messages per second and the resulting set is shown in the Select page. This shows a maximal request - there are features to reduce the size of the download.
CULT GVMS FAQ
I have been issued with a Government Gateway User Id and Password, what else is required before I can move goods under Transit and GVMS?
- As soon as approval to use GVMS and/or CTC you can begin to use CULT GVMS(CTC).
When does CULT GVMS request payment?
- Payment is requested through Google Play when a declaration is sent. Currently GVMS and the first 25 transit messages are not charged for.
What sort of Internet Connectivity do I need?
Mobile Internet and access through public or private wifi, ...hmrc.gov.uk.. must be accessible while ..eu.eu.. s optional (this large download can be switched off) . Google services are required to download the app and make payments, otherwise they are not needed for the normal operation of the app.
What happens where there is no internet connection?
The user is informed of network issues when sending a declaration or making a query request.
Is there a version of CULT GVMS that has only the ability to present the barcode and query for updated statuses for a specific movement without allowing access to other declarations or to amend the declaration?
Driver Mode allows access to the GVMS declaration using the allocated Vehicle Registration Number and not to any others. Driver Mode has several options restricting or allowing access to CTC or declaration re-submission.
How are the most recent reference data tables obtained?
GVMS and NCTS downloads the reference lists that are provided for the start of each new day. The GVMS data is available within a few seconds of starting the app. NCTS data can take a minute or two to download and become available when the app is started for the first time in a particular day.
