Your Google account provides tools to configure data sharing. Using Googles Password Manager can be useful if an account dedicated to the app is created - this reduces the chance of the account being hijacked.
Permission to share data has to be granted by the user before any sharing can take place. When you grant CULT apps permission to access the internet the app will access two internet addresses only 1. HMRC endpoints within ...gov.uk and ...europa.eu
Google help pages describe how to configure data sharing if required. The links below are examples of some relevant pages:

When the CULT GVMS app starts it checks the last download date of the customs standing data required to validate declarations before sending and to provide field level lookup of valid values.
Two www sources are used:
1. ...hmrc.gov.uk/ for GVMS standing data,
2. ec.europa.eu/ for the NCTS Customs Offices list.
The standing data is automatically downloaded and saved in the private app data area.
Search for a specific customs office by entering part of an office code and pressing [>>].
Search for specific GVMS Standing Data by entering part of a code and pressing [>>]. The data is used to populate lookups started from a data field in the GVMS declaration or to provide further information relating to data fields in the customs response detailed in the Metadata section.
